The digital divide

1 in 5 children in the UK don't have the tech they need to learn

Homework and coursework have moved online, but many children don't have a laptop at home, or share one between the whole family. It's those from the most disadvantaged backgrounds who are hit hardest.

Low-income households Families eligible for free school meals, where a laptop is out of reach.

Special educational needs Children with SEND, who often rely on technology to learn.

Almost 1 in 3 of these families have no laptop or desktop at home.

Our approach

We get tech to where it's needed most

We work directly with schools, because they know exactly where the need is. Many are short of working computers and the funding to replace broken ones.

In school.Replacing broken PCs and equipping homework clubs, so every pupil has somewhere to get their work done.

At home.Schools pass devices on to the families who need them most, where children share one or two devices between them, or try to do their homework on a phone.

Not a Klyk customer? We'll run a donation programme for your business. 70% of your devices go to children below the digital poverty line, and we keep 30% to sell on as our fee, which covers the cost of the whole programme.
