What is IT Asset Disposal (ITAD)?
ITAD refers to the safe and responsible disposal, recycling, or repurposing of unused IT equipment, such as laptops or computers while ensuring data security and environmental sustainability.
What information do you need to provide me with a quote for my assets?
Please share as much information as possible including the full spec, serial number, and condition of each asset.
What collection services do you offer?
All of our IT asset collections are point-to-point and we offer point-to-point collections.
What is data erasure?
Data erasure is a process that permanently removes data from a storage device (such as a hard drive). Local data deletion does not always permanently remove data as it can sometimes still be recovered.
What data erasure tool do you use?
We use the industry-leading Blancco software which erases data to HMG standards. Blancco is compliant to international data privacy regulations and guidelines, including ISO 27001. You will receive a certificate as confirmation of the data erasure being performed. In cases where we are unable to use Blancco software on a hard drive, it will be physically destroyed and you will receive evidence of this.
What are the risks if IT assets are not disposed of properly?
If an IT asset is not disposed of properly it increases the risk of a data breach which can result in legal and financial consequences.
